VinFast Rolls Out Premium VF 6 and VF 7 Electric SUVs in India

Vietnam’s VinFast has officially stepped into the Indian market with the launch of its VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs. The VF 6 starts at ₹16.49 lakh, while the larger VF 7 begins at ₹20.89 lakh (ex-showroom). This marks not just VinFast’s debut in India but also a key move in its global expansion, as the company positions itself as a serious player in clean mobility.

The VF 6 is a compact SUV built for city life, running on a 59.6 kWh battery with a range of up to 468 km (ARAI/WLTP). It supports fast charging, taking the battery from 10% to 70% in just 25 minutes, and comes in two trims, Earth and Wind, both with a front-wheel-drive setup.

The VF 7 caters to buyers who want more space and power. It comes in five trims – Earth, Wind, Wind Infinity, Sky, and Sky Infinity, offering both FWD and AWD options. Depending on the version, it delivers a range of 438 – 532 km and power figures of up to 348 bhp and 500 Nm torque in its top models.

VinFast is also working to set up a strong local base. Both SUVs will be assembled at its Thoothukudi facility in Tamil Nadu, and by the end of 2025, the company plans to establish 35 dealerships and 26 workshops across 27 cities. To support customers, VinFast has tied up with RoadGrid, myTVS, Global Assure, and BatX Energies for charging, service, financing, and battery recycling.

This means buyers not only get premium EVs but also access to a ready ecosystem, with perks like three years of free charging and long-term warranties to ease ownership.
