VinFast Opens Pre‑Bookings for VF 6 & VF 7 Electric SUVs in India

VinFast Auto India has officially launched pre-bookings for its first electric SUVs in the country, the compact VF 6 and the mid-size VF 7, starting July 15, 2025. Customers can reserve either model through VinFast showrooms or the official website with a fully refundable ₹21,000 deposit. The vehicles are expected to go on sale in August, timed with the inauguration of the new assembly plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.

Both SUVs will feature Level 2 advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), panoramic sunroofs, connected car tech, and premium interiors. The VF 6 is expected to offer a range close to 440 km, powered by a ~60 kWh battery and front-wheel-drive motor, while the larger VF 7 will use a 75 kWh battery, offering over 450 km and available in dual-motor all-wheel-drive configurations.

VinFast has partnered with 13 dealer groups to set up 32 showrooms in 27 cities, aiming for 35 total by the end of 2025. Support infrastructure will include charging stations and service arrangements via RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure, along with a battery recycling link-up with BatX Energies.

VinFast CEO Pham Sanh Chau expressed confidence in the market’s readiness after strong interest at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. He stated that the VF 6 and VF 7 align with Indian consumer needs by combining “global‑quality electric mobility solutions tailored for Indian roads”.

The Thoothukudi facility, which is ready for CKD assembling as of June 2025, will ramp up production to 150,000 units annually, with plans for export to Middle Eastern and African markets.
