Indofast Energy and Quantum Energy partner to bring battery-swappable scooters to India, starting with affordable Bziness XS

Battery-swapping solutions provider Indofast Energy has announced a strategic partnership with Quantum Energy to power the newly launched Bziness XS electric scooter. The collaboration aims to make EV ownership more accessible and convenient by eliminating charging time altogether through Indofast’s network of 1,100+ swap stations across India.

Priced at an introductory ₹57,750 (ex-showroom) under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, the Bziness XS is one of India’s most affordable electric scooters. Indofast is offering flexible energy subscription plans starting at ₹999 per month and easy EMI options from ₹1,499, helping consumers avoid the high upfront costs usually associated with EVs.

The scooters, developed by Quantum Energy, have been designed for Indian road conditions, balancing durability, efficiency, and eco-friendliness. Through the partnership, Indofast users can swap batteries in under two minutes, a major step toward reducing downtime for both fleet operators and personal commuters.

According to Anant Badjatya, CEO of Indofast Energy, the alliance marks “a turning point where battery swapping transitions from a niche to the mainstream.” Chakravarthi C, Managing Director of Quantum Energy, added that the partnership aligns with India’s shift “from vehicle ownership to energy access and from fuel-driven to fully electric mobility.”

Under this program, 1,000 Bziness XS scooters will be deployed during FY 2025-26, with plans to scale up to 10,000 vehicles over the next three years. With this initiative, Indofast and Quantum are positioning themselves at the heart of India’s next EV adoption wave, combining affordability, accessibility, and cutting-edge technology to redefine daily mobility.
