Cityflo and Aaveg Introduce Electric Buses in Delhi, Pioneering Cleaner Office Commutes Cityfo

Cityflo and Aaveg Management Services have joined forces to launch a fleet of fully electric buses in Delhi, aiming to transform daily office commutes with silent, zero‐emission travel. Manufactured by India’s homegrown commercial EV maker EKA, these buses promise a comfortable, tech-enabled ride that reduces both pollution and commute stress in one of the world’s most traffic-congested capitals.

Delhi’s air quality is among the poorest of any major world capital, with road transport contributing a large share of harmful emissions. By deploying electric buses built for office professionals, Cityflo and Aaveg directly address overcrowding, delays, and air pollution. Commuters can now book seats through an app, track bus locations in real time, and enjoy guaranteed seating, eliminating the usual uncertainty of public transport schedules.

The partnership pools Aaveg’s deep expertise in operating electric fleets with Cityflo’s advanced mobility platform. Aaveg brings proven operational know-how and high fleet uptime, while Cityflo contributes its seamless booking system, live updates, and customer support. Together, they aim to set a new benchmark for reliable, environmentally friendly urban transport in Delhi.

Although precise technical specifications have not been disclosed, the EKA buses feature efficient electric drivetrains that deliver quiet operation and reduced maintenance costs. The seating-first design ensures a pleasant experience without standing passengers, and smart features like QR boarding and cashless payments further enhance convenience.

This initiative marks a significant step in India’s broader shift toward electric public transport. As costs for e-buses fall closer to diesel and CNG alternatives, large-scale adoption becomes increasingly viable. Cityflo and Aaveg plan to expand their electric fleet in Delhi and explore deployments in other Indian cities, bringing cleaner commutes to more professionals across the country.

With cleaner air, predictable schedules, and a comfortable ride, Delhi’s office-goers now have a compelling reason to leave cars behind and embrace sustainable, shared mobility.
