Ather Energy expands past 500 experience centres fuelling electric mobility across India

Ather Energy has achieved a new milestone by crossing 500 Experience Centres nationwide, reinforcing its status as one of India’s leading electric two-wheeler brands. In just the last three months, the company added 101 centres, with a strong focus on Middle and North India, where demand for its scooters, particularly the family-focused Rizta, has surged.

The company’s Chief Business Officer, Ravneet Singh Phokela, described the achievement as a key step in Ather’s growth journey. While South India remains the brand’s strongest base, the success of new models has fast-tracked expansion into newer regions. This rapid growth is not limited to metro markets but is also extending into tier 2 and 3 cities, where customer response has been equally strong.

Between June and August 2025, Ather added new centres in cities such as Agra, Jabalpur, Mandsaur, Sundargarh, Vadodara, and Bilaspur. In the south, it has a deepened presence in Calicut, Indore, Nashik, Coimbatore, Guntur, Haldwani, Satara, Kota, Kangra, and Aizwal. The brand is also experimenting with varied retail formats tailored to different urban profiles, while scaling its Ather Gold service network.

Ather’s regional penetration is evident, with states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu each hosting over 50 centres. Bengaluru leads with 18 centres, followed by Pune and Hyderabad with 13 each, Delhi with 9, and Mumbai and Chennai with 8 each. This wide coverage not only enhances consumer access but also strengthens Ather’s foothold in India’s rapidly growing EV market.

By crossing the 500-centre milestone, Ather Energy is demonstrating how strong product demand, combined with aggressive retail expansion, can accelerate EV adoption across both metropolitan and smaller cities. It marks a significant leap forward in making electric mobility mainstream for Indian families.
