Ultraviolette Automotive is stepping up big time in the electric two-wheeler game after securing investment from Japan’s TDK Corporation to support its global ambitions and product expansion. The funding helps the Bengaluru-based company not only deepen research and development but also widen its reach beyond India.

Already operating with its flagship F77 Mach2 and F77 SuperStreet models, Ultraviolette has started exporting these bikes to several European countries, including Germany and France. This move marks an important step in proving that Indian EV bikes can compete in international markets. The company has also secured key certifications, making this global push smoother.

On the home front Ultraviolette is planning to roll out a lot more. In the pipeline are around ten new electric motorcycles and scooters over the next few years including offerings under their S-series, L-series and X-series models. Among the launches already teased are the Shockwave adventure enduro motorcycle and the Tesseract full-feature scooter. The Shockwave delivers strong torque, lighter weight, and a riding experience that balances performance and usability.

In another move to improve user experience Ultraviolette has pushed a free firmware upgrade the Gen3 Powertrain Firmware for all F77 owners. This software update enhances performance without requiring hardware changes and shows how the brand is trying to keep existing users happy while raising the bar for EV bike standards in India.

Looking ahead, the company expects e-motorcycles to claim a much larger share of the electric two-wheeler market in India by 2028, perhaps up to 50 percent, breaking the current dominance of e-scooters. To support that growth, it is scaling up its manufacturing capacity, improving charging infrastructure, and ensuring that its product portfolio covers both premium performance bikes and more affordable/lightweight models.
